Your file is never uploaded anywhere.
  1. Go to takeout.google.com and sign in with your Google account
  2. Click Deselect all, then scroll down and tick YouTube and YouTube Music
  3. Click All YouTube data included to expand it, then uncheck everything except history
  4. Important: make sure the history format is set to JSON (not HTML). Click the button next to "history" to check
  5. Scroll down, click Next step, then Create export. Google will email you when it is ready (usually a few minutes)
  6. Download the ZIP file, unzip it, and find your file at:
    Takeout / YouTube and YouTube Music / history / watch-history.json
  7. Drag that file onto the box above and your mixtape will appear
If you have a large history it may take Google a few minutes to prepare the export. You will receive an email with a download link.

Rewind Repeat It turns your YouTube and YouTube Music listening history into something you can actually see: a wall of cassette tapes, one per track, sorted by how many times you played it.

Drop in your Google Takeout file and your personal mixtape appears instantly. No accounts, no logins. Just your music.

How it works

  • Export your history via Google Takeout
  • Drop the watch-history.json onto the app
  • Filter by time range, source, and how many tracks to show
  • Switch between Grid (cassette cards) and Poster (shareable tracklist)
  • Export as PNG or PDF to keep or share

Your data stays with you

Everything runs in your browser. The JSON file never leaves your device. No server, no upload, no account. Close the tab and it is gone.

The name

Named after Repeat It by Martin Garrix and Ed Sheeran. Because when a song is good enough, you do not skip. You rewind. You repeat it.

No data is collected

Rewind Repeat It collects nothing. There are no servers, no database, nothing receiving data from you.

Your file never leaves your device

When you upload watch-history.json, it is read and processed entirely inside your browser. It is never sent to any server, never transmitted over any network. When you close the tab, it is gone.

No cookies

This app sets no cookies. The only thing saved locally is your light/dark mode preference, stored in localStorage on your own device.

No analytics or tracking

No Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no pixel tracking, no fingerprinting.

Third-party resources

This app loads fonts from Google Fonts and two open-source libraries (html2canvas, jsPDF) from a CDN. No data from your watch history is ever shared with them.
